I went back to the former theme, “Twenty Sixteen” for future posts. “Forefront” seemed too cluttered and limiting.
I took the photo below last night. It shows Caldwell Hall, the oldest major building at The Catholic University of America, 1888. From this low angle, it looks rather French to me.
The Forefront theme also came with a Search widget that I have at the top right. There was also an option to add a “Top of page” arrow at bottom right that I used.
The current theme is Forefront, a child theme of GeneratePress. I like it’s simplicity and how it makes adding widgets easy to do.
I added a simple text widget as a Contact box at the bottom, and a widget for listing my pages, of which there is still only one.
I updated to WordPress 4.5. I then tried to install a new theme, Sonder, but it broke the blog. Luckily I found a WordPress suggestion simply to delete the directory, Sonder/ from my blog/Themes/ folder. This worked.
For a class assignment I’m supposed to experiment with different themes.
The current theme is twentysixteen.
